DESCRIPTION

Insulgrease SG 111 is a heavy consistency, non-toxic, grease-like compound based on a thickened silicone fluid. SG 111 is chemically inert and is designed as a valve lubricant and sealant that provides a non-curing moisture barrier. Other applications include being used as a sealant for outdoor equipment, including shipboard applications that are subject to harsh environmental exposure. It also works well as a chemical barrier coating, a damping medium for dash pots, and as a lubricant on gaskets, seals and 0-rings. As it is a silicone, the change in its viscosity over a broad temperature range of -40 to 400°F is very low, thus preventing run-off or stiffening to the point where the product is unusable. Insulgrease SG 111 is non-corrosive and oxidation resistant. With high dielectric strength and good hydrolytic stability, it is also water repellent and radiation resistant. Insulgrease SG 111 is also suitable for incidental food contact under FDA Regulation 21 CFR 175.300.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Insulgrease SG 111 may be diluted with non-polar solvents for easier application. However, caution must be observed since even small amounts of solvent may affect the lubrication performance in high speed gears or bearings. Clean-up any spills with non-polar solvents such as mineral spirits.

HEALTH CAUTION:
Silicone grease compounds are non-hazardous and practically non-toxic. Avoid prolonged contact with skin; if contact occurs, wash affected areas with soap and water. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes; call a physician.
